Queer Tango lessons and practica Since spring 2011 until autumn 2012, queertango.dk has organized queer tango lessons and practica, typically Friday once a month. The teaching is done by different invited teachers and their way of instructing enables everybody to join in – both beginners and intermediate dancers. You can dance both lead and follow, and you can participate both with and without a dance partner.
Typically there will be instruction for about 1½ hours from 7pm-8.30pm and then the floor is free for practicing until 10pm.
The evening will take place at Frøbelseminaret, Grundtvigsvej 11, Frederiksberg. It is within walking distance from Frederiksberg Metro / Centre. You can find us by going into the school’s yard from Henrik Steffens Vej. Cross the courtyard, go down the basement stairs, go through the basement and take the elevator or stairs to the second floor, where you will find us. There will be signs along the way. You can park bikes and cars in the yard.
Registration is not necessary – you can just turn up!
Visit from Argentina 2011
Augusto Balizano, Buenos Aires, visited Copenhagen for the third time Sunday, 17th July 2011. We had two very inspiring queer tango workshops. That was a good prelude for the queer tango festival in Buenos Aires in November 2011, where Augusto together with Mariana Docampo organized the wonderful Buenos Aires queer tango festival.
Dance at Town Hall Square 2011Friday 19th August 6:00 p.m. there were Pride ballroom party at the Town Hall Square (Rådhuspladsen), Copenhagen. Here a group of dancers danced two great queer tango's as a prelude to Copenhagen Queer Tango Festival 2011. Thanks to alle participants!
